Design of a mobile WiMAX communication platform for sales control in a telecommunications company
The main objective of this study is to design a WiMAX platform for the control and monitoring of sales between the branches of the company Tecnomaster, CA. To carry out this project, it is necessary to meet the following specific analyze the current state of communication of the Tecnomaster company with its sales offices, propose the construction architecture of mobile WiMAX for control and monitoring, design the logical and physical Cross-Layer model for the WiMAX platform in sales control and monitoring, and simulate the connections for the control and monitoring of sales between the branches of the company Tecnomaster, CA.
The research is classified as field descriptive and non-experimental, following the methodology proposed by Sabino (2007). A data collection instrument was designed, a closed dichotomous survey with eleven items, which was applied to a population of six experts belonging to technology companies located in Maracaibo. These experts provided knowledge on the architecture to be proposed and the transmission standard, among others.
For the development of the technological scientific level, the methodology of the Siemens Networks company was followed to offer a mobile WiMAX solution in the Tecnomaster company. Security solutions were proposed using UMTS cards and a system test was carried out with WiMAX Re-e, thus providing added value to the research.
In conclusion, the GSM technology currently used in the company is completely compatible with the proposed solution, which contributes to improving the authentication, control, and management of data encryption necessary in the WiMAX base stations that will be used in the branches. It is recommended to carry out an exhaustive study of protocol communication and a cost-benefit analysis to ensure the investment optimally.
