Do not assume that this is just another fantasy book written for children; you would be mistaken.
The saga of Sir Bumble is one of the strangest, yet most delightful books I have read in a while, its genre as unique as its characters.
There is a bit of every genre here, with vivid storylines that blaze out of the page with the most delightful poetic rhymes.
From Flutterbees to Butterbumbles, from Fae to the far away imaginary destinations of an incredibly complex mind, Carl Butler has proven himself as an astute spinner of thought and word, having created the powerful imagery evoked in this delightful fantasy world.
He has an inate ability to extract the most human attributes from his characters, and to breathe life into them; his ability to personify denizens of our natural world so believably, so true to character, is remarkable.
I would recommend this book for readers to read as bedtime stories to their children, as well as for adults who want to immerse themselves in a beautifully crafted world of natural imagination, and be swept away by Carls Butlers imagination to a wonderfully populated tale of tiny, normally insignificant creatures of pur natural world.
