Killing For Innocence

How far would you go to protect the innocent?

Michelle's life is on the brink of collapse, and she's determined to find redemption. Volunteering at a charity dedicated to child abuse victims seems like a step in the right direction. But as she delves deeper into the horrors these innocent children have endured, Michelle's compassion ignites an inner darkness.

Driven by a burning need for justice, she becomes the judge, jury, and executioner for those who have committed unspeakable acts against innocent children. She believes there's only one fitting punishment: death.

In the midst of her plan for vengeance, Michelle grapples with a haunting question: Is she on the righteous path or spiralling out of control? In this gripping psychological thriller, the line between saviour and vigilante blurs, and the price of protecting the innocent may be more than Michelle ever imagined.

Killing for Innocence is a spectacular standalone psychological thriller by C.L Sutton that features dark themes, raw emotions, and superb plot twists.

This was such a good book with an intense plot. I almost cried like 50 times and wanted those bad parents to get what they deserved. The plot twist with the "transport business" hit me hard. How awful! At first I didn't like the open ending but after thinking about it for a few minutes... yeah... it does make sense to end it like that... 💔

Killing For Innocence. My fella readers. Amazing! I loved where the story took me. The characters were all fantastic.
Michelle who’s the female leading character was fantabulous. Her character is the one that grew the most. She comes in as the broken person who meets a person who throws chaos into her life. With self-clarity Michelle straps her big girl pants on and Annihilate her adversaries. The writing was fresh.
The story sounded so real. The twist was out of this world. How the story circled back around to the actual target, I have no clue, but that secret was held very well. The does touch a number of topics that are in the headlines today. I enjoyed this page turner.
It has the action and stunning moments the puts this book in the totally awesome category. I loved the entertainment from beginning to end. I give this book two snaps in a twist. Until next time my fellow readers. Read on!
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

No one should ever have to endure what Michelle did. Let me tell you, you will never ever be prepared for the plot twist. They just keep coming but oh my goodness. This was so good. It is insane how our brains work, and handle trauma yet alone turn them into beings they never thought they would be or do things they never would have before. Psychology is a field that will never fully be understood. The cliffhanger at the end. I cannot wait to read the sequel.

By the way I couldn't put this book down.

Easy reading material. Good plot. A little predictable for me. That’s why I didn’t give 5 stars. But definitely well written and had a good plot.

3.5 Stars. Just rounding up to 4. There were moments in this book that were difficult to read, especially when it came to Teddy’s POV. Michelle flip-flopped a lot, like either you down with it or not! Then the twist happened, omg it made me sick to my stomach. It’s hard to say it was a good book because of the subject matter, but I was intrigued the entire time and had to know what was going to happen. Proceed with caution ⚠️

This book brought out so many emotions in me. I wanted to hurt those parents who hurt their children so bad !! Reading through, I sided with one character thinking they were a godsend, but gosh, so many twists. I felt bad when the book ended and wanted even more !

"I killed for justice -- justice for children who needed desperate help.'

This is such a great read. I was hooked for the first page and it kept me guessing all the way through on what was going to happen. There were twists I didn't even see coming, and an ending that I needed more.
" My sheets remain neatly made, creating a pale canvas for the blood-red gift that wasn't there when I left. A red rose."
What!!! Once you read this book tell me what you think of those last paragraph.

I’ve read one other psychological thriller and enjoyed it but have always fallen back into dark romance. This book proved the love I have for psychological thrillers and why I need to read more! Just when I thought I had it figured out, there were twist and turns. This book pulled at my heart strings. Michelle has a good heart but it gets her in trouble. Teddy is a sweet little boy who hasn’t had the best life. It’s great from the beginning. So many secrets to uncover. I recommend to readers who love twist and turns and trying to solve the case but ends up wrong.

C.L Sutton’s debut novel - Killing for Innocence had me gripped from start to finish. When I can’t stop reading a book and need to finish it in a single sitting, I know I’ve found myself a new author to love! Without giving away spoilers, the plot line will keep you hooked, heartbroken, shocked and relieved.

It held my attention the entire time. New twists and turns every few chapters. But the ending left me needing answers.
The topic of child abuse and situations detailed throughout the book were hard to stomach.

A new author to me, but I will definitely read every book the author writes in the future. A fast-paced, well written, intriguing, and unexpected twist. I thought I had it figured out, then another twist. I love the authors writing style, engaging characters, and well executed plot

This was a hard book to read, but as soon as I started, I was automatically drawn to it.

Michelle has had a hard life, but when she meets Pam things start to look up, or do they? Pam works at an organization that helps kids that are going through hard times like abuse by talking to them. It's anonymous, but they can call in and talk to the volunteers. Michelle thinks this might be a good spot for her as she went through a lot of the same things when she was a child.

There is one little boy that grabs her attention, Teddy, and one day when Pam told her that Teddy had been rescued and brought to a better family, Michelle is happy. Until she finds out what happened to Teddy's parents. Pam killed them.

From there on out there's a lot of twists and turns, and it turns dark, and you start to wonder who you can and cannot trust.

I gave it four stars because I didn't like how it ended. I mean I understand why it ended the way it did, and it went along with the story, but I wasn't happy with the ending, wish it went in a different direction.

I recommend this book and can't wait to read more from the author.

Well….

The story was great!

I enjoyed the plot and the characters

It was a bit predictable but still enjoyed it.

It grabbed my attention early and didn't let go until I finished it 😔

I liked the main character, but she pissed me off so many times throughout the book!

The ending though….

Please tell me there's a 2nd book

I love CL Sutton’s writing style. The vigilantes were easy to like and dislike at the same time. This one kept me guessing from the start-and the twist didn’t disappoint. The ending was not the ending I wanted but the one that was needed. Easy day read. Trigger warnings: sex (consenting adults) and child abuse

I can’t believe this was this authors first book! This was amazing. The characters were realistic. The story came full circle and didn’t leave plot holes. The plot itself had some twists that I did not see coming and I could pick my jaw up off of the floor. I cannot wait to read more by this author!

This book pulled me in so fast. The dual POVs are intense and emotional. A few parts felt a bit rushed, and I wish we got more depth on some side characters, but overall it’s a dark, gripping read that I couldn’t put down.
