Alana agrees, hoping her time with Feris will awaken his memories and help her to stop the terrible king.
But a dark shadow from her past is watching her. Waiting for her. And ready to reclaim a heavy debt that could cost her everything.
Can she break the spell that wiped away Feris's memories in time for him to love her again?
Or will the secrets that lie in Alana’s past threaten to consume her and everyone she loves?
Queen of Scars & Song is an action-packed and achingly beautiful romance with a morally grey love interest and a strong female protagonist. Readers who fell in love with Feris and Alana in the first book will adore this second and final book in the Daughters of the Fae series.
I don’t normally write reviews but I have to for this book.
This series had SO much potential. I loved the characters and the world building. Book one was incredible bit this one just…
There’s no true ending. We don’t see the characters live happily ever after. We don’t see anything after the final climactic ending. All we get is a hug and a affirmation and that’s it. There’s no epilogue. There’s nothing.
We don’t see Feris get his memories back. Which is honestly annoying bc it wasn’t just the memories of Alana that were stripped but his entire life as king. His closest friends in the world are wiped from his mind. Even his freaking Filagi is wiped and he doesn’t get that back. We don’t see them ruling together or rebuilding the kingdoms. We get no confirmation about the curse being broken. We don’t even get a final kiss.
Not to mention the inconsistencies. The sisters name changing from one book to the other. Queen Lila’s hair was a deep auburn red in book one but is raven black in book two. I don’t know if she just ran out of time or what but this series deserved a proper ending that we did not get.
Giving it 3 stars bc I love the potential and the writing style but that ending was utter garbage. Feris and Alana deserved better.

You can’t start the book with a chapter that took place 10 years ago, but also occurred during a thinning of the veil which only happens every 3 years. The math isn’t mathing. Also she changes the full name of the sister from being Emilia in the first book to Emmaline in the second.
I really liked the first book. And i liked part of this book but i hated the end if you can call it an end. The ending felt rushed and if the writer didnt know what to write anymore it just felt incompleet. What is really sad because it was a good book with much potential.
I really bought into the characters and world in book one, but this one fell a little flat due to inconsistencies and a disappointing ending.
The sisters name was changed, and the hair colour of the queen was changed - it just felt a bit rushed. I liked the plot and storyline, but I feel like it needed a few extra chapters and a closer proofread.
Overall, I enjoyed it, but the ending felt like a massive injustice to the characters. Feris didn't get his memories back, and we dont know who actually rules in the end. You don't hear who takes over what or how everything is rebuilt. I wanted a bow to tie everything up, and this left me wanting a conclusion.

Could have been great but it ended so abruptly- did not feel finalized at all. Hell- we didn’t even make it off the battle field. I’m still left with a ton of questions, which betrays a lot of rules of the romance genre, ones I was counting on. Did the author just not feel like writing anymore? Why uncover so many questions only chapters before the end only to leave them unanswered?

So much potential, I was really enjoying it despite a few continuity errors here and there. Completely and utterly disappointed by the ending. So many questions left unanswered and no real conclusion to the main love story! The characters deserved better.
Is there not going to be another book? If that's the ending then I wasted my time reading because the ending was horrible. So many questions left unanswered and left disappointed.
