When opposites attract, can two strangers turn a rocky partnership into something more? Brian Davis, the charismatic PR head of Cloud 9 Games, is ready to reinvent himself as a political advisor when a local councilwoman needs assistance. Especially since the stunning and fiercely independent Amelia Hernandez has it all, passion, brains and beauty. Overflowing with tenderness, humor and sigh-worthy romance, this story will sweep you away to a charming small town where two unlikely partners discover that sometimes, you have to risk it all for a chance at true happiness.
Absolutely no spice. Like none at all. Maybe I'm just not good at understanding which romance novels are spicy and which are not but I thought this was spicy and it had nothing more than a peck on the cheek. With that being said though, this is one of the better written shitty romance novels. You can tell that Sands at least knows a little about what she's talking about when it came to the subject matter and logistics of everything. You're lucky I'm a political nerd though because that is the only reason why I rated this book so high. I enjoyed the logistics of Amelia's job and admired her passion and intelligence. She was absolutely a character I wanted to root for. However, the ending was a bit unrealistic. Okay, a lot unrealistic but isn't the point of these novels to escape reality? It absolutely felt like a fantasy I would think to myself before falling asleep so, that was fun.
This book was okay but genuinely a waste of my time. The romance fell flat and the main characters didn't have enough chemistry. They just liked each other to like each other. There also wasn't enough tension or conflict to drive the story. Everything just fell in its unrealistic place. Definitely not tuning in to the other novels in this series but it was not as bad as it could have been
Cloudy with a Chance of Billionaire, the second book in the Saint Cloud, Texas series by Olivia Sands is warm, sweet, fun romance with strong, intelligent main characters who want to make their piece of the world a better place for themselves and for the people around them. Just as the relationship between swoon worthy billionaire PR man Brian Davis of the Cloud 9 Davis's and gorgeous Council Person Amelia Hernandez reaches that perfect moment, a new opportunity enters her life and creates a personal struggle for the couple. This adorable book perfectly fits a description cozy romance that I recently encountered from author Chris Keniston who writes romance novels what welcome the reader into the world of her characters and makes us want to spend time with those awesome people. Fans of Ms. Keniston's Billionaire Barons of Texas will love the Saint Cloud, Texas series.
Slow and easy which is refreshing. No rampart sex scenes to make us too hot and bothered, especially under the Texas sun! Written well and with feeling. Love the front covers , these lads could all be brothers in real life and not just for the story line covers. Who ever chose these handsome young men has a very good eye for matching up.
Likeable characters (in spite of the fact that one is a billionaire, certainly not because of it) and a satisfying story. Feels like it happens in some fantasy world where good things are possible.
ETA: it felt like I was missing a story when I read it. Now that I’m reading Simon’s story in the supposed third book in the series, it’s obvious that these two books are mis-numbered. This should be number 3.
I wanted to like it. I tried but I DNF @41%. The story covered more discussion of ROIs, property, and whatnot than the actual romance going on. Nothing. Not even a tickle of what’s to come. It’s like, you shoot your shot and missed. Not for me.
