This book certainly not one of the authors best. Reminded me a little of James Hadley Chases book “ No Orchids for Miss Blandish “ that I read long ago when I was in my teens. Jai Veer Solanki ( JV ) an ex army veteran does not feature in this book. Chanda Singh Thakur a female no nonsense cop in Himachal Pradesh is pictorial state in India known for its scenic views and beauty is assigned to trace Noah Roth who is the daughter of an Israeli diplomat in India who has been kidnapped. A little bit of drug trafficking and goons, a little tracing and trailing to eventually find the kidnapped girl. End was surprising and not like the other books by this author. Would be generous in my rating and giving it 3 stars !

In the next fast paced thriller from the Scorpion series, Jas recruits a Pahadi Chanda to investigate a missing girl, one who is of utmost importance. Set amidst the white blanket of Himalayas, the gurgles of the rivers and enigmatic mist and fog, this thriller explores the travails of the newest member of the Scorpion team. Scarred, Hurt, dealing with the demons of her, Chanda sets out on a journey that becomes a therapeutic self-discovery sojourn of her own.

The author has crafted a wonderful, page turning thriller which captivates the readers till the end. One remarkable change in this book is the reduced reference to the past unlike some of the previous books. Surely, NPS is turning out be a crafty story teller and author to watch out for.
