Another FastBack Mystery, except it's not a regular mystery. It's about a baseball pitcher who is at the end of his arm. Not what I expected from Marlowe's previous work that I've read, but it was quite good. I don't even like baseball.

It’s hard to believe that the writer of some stellar crime novels wrote this one too.
