My favourite genre to read so was looking forward to reading but such a disappointment!!! Dr Cohen a stop of his field and in going to see a new patient he finds the patients daughter his ex whom he still loves, however the storyline was not consistent. It said they were together 5 years, then it is split into 2yr 2yr and 3 yr timelines which is not 5yes but 7yrs. Brielle is unbelievable in her behaviour, for a 27yr old her childish behaviour and tantrums was ridiculous, truly over the top over and over again. I couldn't take this pairing seriously and didn't take to Brielle whatsoever. Unfortunately I can't recommend this read as the storyline had several errors and contradictions. Mostly Brielles mum did she get the treatment? Did she have another 10-12years or not. One moment it said she'd have 6months then a few chapters later that changed to 1-2years. The main focus was on the sick mum but it failed to conclude a happy ending or not for her mum.
Cohen and Brielle have a history that didn't end well for either of them. Now years later he is a specialist brought in on her mother's medical case. Sparks fly between them, and they bicker back and forth. However, Cohen has her mother's best interests, so they go with his treatments. They start seeing each other again and drama ensues from his past as well as her mother's medical issues. Will they get things worked out so they can be together?
This is a good story I just had some issues with the female lead character at parts of the story. This is a well written and very entertaining story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Honestly Cohen was a great guy, but Brielle was horrible for the majority of the book towards him. The whole bringing his rival doctor in because she was upset was stupid and extremely dangerous for her mother. That ending was abrupt as well. This could have been way better.
