I read about a third of the book and gave up. The book is based on the author's doctoral dissertation but wasn't, in my opinion, edited sufficiently to make it sufficiently interesting to the non-academic reader who has not read everything that has ever been said about the subject of this book and who is not interested in the author's opinion about everything that has ever been said...Of course, if you are the academic who is interested than this book is for you. :)
