"Geo the Geode" is a non-fiction book that describes characteristics of rocks in general, and geodes in particular, especially their geographic distribution, formation and uses. Written for elementary school children ages 5 - 11, the book also features sidebars for older students and adults. A glossary and index are included.
While I am not a rock enthusiast, I did learn a few things by reading this book. I liked how the book was written with 2 ways to read the pages in the book. The larger font would appeal to the younger kids, and the smaller print is more informative and would be more for the older kids.
