FANTASTIC!
Nya Love is back and she's done it again with Black Woman Empath: Channel African Sangomas Tradition To Thrive as a Melanated Empath, Enhance Psychic Abilities, Clear Karmic Ties, and Protect from Narcissists using Melanin Feminine Energy. This book is for all black women whether you sense that you are an Empath, are a highly sensitive individual, or you're just interested in how to harness these abilities. I thank the author for the gifted copy. It came and found me at the most appropriate of times as I navigate my own journey of self discovery.
In Black Woman Empath, Nya Love creates the framework to provide a very solid resource for those like who want to understand the history, timeline, and everything in between to help you engage these abilities but also ward off negative energies that can come into play on a daily basis. "In many spaces, other less melanated races of women have the privilege of being seen as, and expected to be soft and sensitive. It is almost unfathomable that Black Women could possess these same qualities and be seen and valued like their counterparts. If they do achieve anything close to this, it is through their role as exhausted and exploited caretaker of everyone but themselves."
As black women we often find ourselves in this role as caregiver without any tools for mastery or how to maintain some semblance of self in doing so and she goes into detail about this. An ideal guide that I think we should all read. This is one I've turned back to reference and will likely continue to reach for when I have questions or just thoughts pertaining to the concept.

I‘be never considered myself an empath, but this book definitely touched on some topics that allowed me to explore more about the idea that I just might be. Very interesting read.

SHE DID IT AGAIN!
She did it again! This book was just as amazing as the first one! Very direct and attacked me but in a good one. Very insightful! And I enjoyed it! Must read for black women!
