Since age eighteen, twin sisters Wyld and Allure Flowers have dominated the charts. With sultry voices belting out gems that turn into platinum plaques, The Soprano Girls have lived a life many couldn’t fathom experiencing. World travel, finessing sold-out crowds, and receiving accolades fuel their passion. However, once bad news about them spreads like wildfire, the allure of the fast life becomes an afterthought. Together, the twins agree to join Better Days Rehab Center and make their health a priority until fate plays her card and grief has now entered the arena.
Keyes Strong couldn’t be more different from his last name. His disposition is perplexed and a bit nerdy, with an undeniable passion for cooking. As the head chef of Better Days Rehab, he provides the finest cuisine for the upscale establishment. Nonetheless, when Keyes removes his chef coat, the respect from his peers seems to exit the room as well.
Fortunately, new patients bring new energy, and along with Wyld Flowers comes a peace the conflicted loner hasn’t felt since his childhood. Consumed in their fresh alliance, the pair become engulfed in one another and blinded to the snakes waiting for an opening to intrude. Wyld and Keyes are about to embark on a dangerous journey of what happens when you don’t obey his law.
Now the question begs, will there be better days ahead for them?
Wynta is one of those authors that releases so many books that you have to dig to find the true gems! Well this wasn’t one so keep looking 😵💫😂🥴……baby this book went to hell on an express elevator! When it began I was so locked in that I just KNEW this was a 5 star read! I mean the story really captures you and quick but as I continued to read, those stars started deducting quicker that I withdraw money from my husband’s account! And baby that’s quick!
Wyld and Allure were twin sisters who were also rising R&B superstars! They were about that music life since the age of seventeen and it was much too fast for them! We all know that that Hollywood life can appear to be glamorous on the outside but for young women not used to that life it can swallow them whole and that’s exactly what happened when these sisters became addicted to drugs! After a tragic incident, Wyld ended up in rehab fighting to get her life back in order! Her main priorities were to get clean and make her sister proud!
Keyes, oh Keyes! I loved me some him! He was an awkward, disabled asthmatic that still found a way to exude BDE. As the executive chef of “A Better Way” facility, he found himself infatuated by the newest resident! He’d always loved the “Soprano Girls” music so to have a superstar in his orbit was almost more than his lil heart could take!
It was about 30% in where the story really started to shift because baby what type of rehab facility was this?!?!?!!!!!!
**POSSIBLE SPOILERS** ♦️We have ex employees that are able to access the facility and attack workers. ♦️We have cell phone usage ♦️Locks on patient doors that they are encouraged to use ♦️Visitors that are allowed to bring outside items and roam the facility freely ♦️I barely read about a lick of security in this place and during a rare sighting they only show up when it’s much too late! ♦️Harte was the director yet completely clueless that drugs were being pushed in the facility! Did you not notice that the addicts were getting WORSE?! ♦️While I absolutely LOVED Keyes and Wyld’s relationship, it was completely inappropriate to carry on during her rehabilitation and was not healthy for her recovery at all! ♦️Keyes had all the energy in the world behind Dre but couldn’t stand up to his brother. ♦️We not checking credentials before hiring “doctors” for a rehab facility?!
Shall I continue?! And I swear it’s not my goal to be overly critical of books but when it’s right in your face page after page you can’t help but to wonder if the author did basic research! And wtf was that “plot twist” at the end?! I’m not even sure what to make of it and don’t want to spoil for those that may not have read.
If you remove logic from this book then you’ll absolutely enjoy this story but if you’re a thinking person, you won’t be able to ignore all of the glaring flaws it contains! The book had TONS of promise and with a few changes would have been such an amazing read but I can’t rate on hopefuls so it is what it is.
Oh my. Definitely held my attention from beginning to end! Was not expecting the things that happened!!! This book gave you suspense and oh shit lol. Idk if I would have went that drastic with the choice Wylde and Allure’s parents took. No spoilers so you gotta read/listen to know what I mean, but I definitely enjoyed unraveling the clues.
Keyes was such a sweetheart. He had his own family drama that he had to deal with and piece together. He and Wylde together take you on quite a journey. Definitely a good one. Not your typical book. That ending!! 👀
Obeying His Law was such a phenomenal story! Twin sisters, Wyld and Allure, have the world at their fingertips as singers. However, they are both struggling with demons. Keyes has always been the underdog, with physical and health conditions he worked tirelessly towards becoming the best version of himself. This is a story that draws you in from the beginning and continues to keep you guessing on how things would tie together. It is a romantic suspense story with a message about addiction, opposite attraction, and standing up for yourself. I enjoyed this story so much! I was side eyeing every character because I didn’t trust any of them but I was still wrong! 😩Wyld and Keyes were so perfect together and I loved how easily he saw past her flaws and poured words of encouragement into her. Wynta continues to blow me away with her unique storytelling. I am hoping we get more of this group of characters. 🫶🏾
Where do I even begin with this book? From the very first page, I was completely lost. It jumped back and forth between different storylines, making it feel disjointed and all over the place. And then, the plot took a series of unexpected turns at the end, which I felt like the author threw together haphazardly to tie everything up. The epilogue, in particular, left me completely astounded. She has a remarkable talent for making you think deeply and question everything. However, I must say that I found it difficult to connect with the disabled characters. They seemed to dwell on their disabilities and brought them up every other word.
This book was a mess. The characters were underdeveloped so I couldn't connect to them. I did not believe their love. I didn't she was an addict.. Also, the mystery happening was so confusing. It was just all over the place.
Wyld and her twin sister, Allure, are world renowned singers who end up on the bad end of fame by becoming hooked on drugs. After tragedy strikes, Wyld decides she wants to get clean and enters rehab. There she meets Reyes, the executive chef there who is not your typical hero but that didn't stop Wyld from falling for him. They were a great couple from the very beginning. The love and care that they showed toward one another was so heartwarming. I couldn't believe how many crazy folk this story contained. Some of them were people you would least expect the things that they had going on. This book was a thrill ride full of ups and downs. Just when you thought you knew what was happening, something else surprising happened. The ending was a total surprise and I hope that situation can be resolved at a later time. This is a very good suspenseful book that I highly recommend!!!
What's Done In The Dark Will Surely Come Out In The Light
Wynta Tyme, good read. Nice twist and surprise. To know how sometimes people take things and turn them into hell for someone else is really sick. To know the pain Allure went through hurt enough but for Wyld to endure that pain was so wrong on all accounts. Would found a peace she never thought she would ever have in Keyes. Keyes finally was able to overcome many trails I enjoyed seeing him and Wyld boss up and stand for themselves. I just enjoyed how you did the many different twists and turns in this read. Gonna have to look you up.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
woooooowwww. wow. i thought maybe the other reviews were really just hyping this book up, but i was literally glued to this book. it gave me so much anxiety about what was going to happen every time a new page was flipped. im like damn, can this shit get any crazier?? there were a few things i didn't necessarily care for, like the overuse of pet names. (personal reasons- its just kinda cringey). but also the sad truth about rehab facilities and how some of these places are truly crooked. For some odd reason, I didn't like the baby names at the end. It was just kind of over the top as well. but overall, definitely 5 stars. I was hooked.
This book had me hooked from start to finish! Wyld and Keyes’ connection was so real and heartfelt, and I loved watching their bond grow despite all the challenges they faced. Keyes stood out as such a refreshing male lead—quiet, passionate, and deeply caring. Wyld’s journey, from fame to finding herself in a completely new environment, was both emotional and inspiring.
The twists and suspense kept me on edge, and just when I thought I had things figured out, Wynta Tyme threw in surprises that blew me away. The mix of romance, drama, and danger made it impossible to put down.
If you love a story with heart, depth, and a little bit of edge, this one’s a must-read!
Whew! The beginning was a lot, so much going on that I almost thought about not finishing. But I’m so glad I did! I absolutely love Wylde and Keyes. The way he never judged her, how he took care of her, and loved her while she put herself back together? Perfection. And I love that she didn’t see what he thought everyone saw—she saw the kind, caring man underneath it all.
Now, Locke? Trash. Straight-up garbage. He got exactly what he deserved!
Such a great book!
Also, where is book 2?! Because THAT ENDING?! Paxxxx?!
🫢🫢 you know how after a book you have to take a beat.!? That’s me right now, I’m trying to figure out what I just read 😳🤣😂!
I am going to say, I LOOOOOVEEEEEDDD Keyes! I think he was so beautifully written & I feel like this book should be read to experience him even if it’s for a little bit! Wyld was a beautiful character as well! Keyes and Wyld made one of the best book couples!
I may have more to say after I’m done processing, because what!? 😂🤣
This was a great and I mean very good read from beginning to end. I loooove Keyes and the way they both love each other. This the type of love I’m talking about when I say I need love. Just pure unconditional, beautiful love. I mean if he don’t love me like Keyes then ion want him lol. The ending though that was not expecting at all. I have mixed emotions about it. I like it but…I don’t know. All in all great read. Thank you
This book was great very hard to put down. I can honestly say that both sisters deserve happiness in the end, even though it took them so much heartache and pain to get to where they are at the end of the book which is pure happiness, but it’s sad that they had to do it alone and separate so hopefully book 2 is coming and we get to see them reunite and the two cousins will meet and show representation of what a good life could’ve been for the two sisters.
Baby listen, this book had amazing potential! The storyline itself was good, however it confused me. One minute Allure was a victim in Chapter 2, then suddenly the allure's storyline switched to being Wylds story. And don’t even get me started on the three part epilogues they threw me for a loop the last one lade no sense! Now, I will say I like Wynta, but overall this book definitely needed a few adjustments
All I can say is Wow! This book had me on the edge of my seat, with all the twist and turns. It was amazing how all they were connected somehow. I love Keyes he was so right for Wyld. Their chemistry was amazing. She loved him for him and the same for him to her. I loved the ending, but will she ever find out the truth? Don't twins have a connection.
Obeying His Law was everything i needed. I expected a twist cause that’s what Wytna Tyme gives. However my mouth was wild open with all the puzzle pieces coming together. The love between Keyes and Wlyd was special. I can’t say enough about how much i enjoyed this book. just beautiful
Didn’t know if I was going to make it through the book in the beginning, found it a little hard at first, but then once the story began a little further this Book was great. The suspense little bit of drama and the love was 100%. The ending was unexpected, but it was good thank you very much to the narrators for bringing this story. You did a great job definitely recommending. ❤️❤️❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book was totally awesome. Not only was it well written and flowed well, it kept me guessing throughout that I knew who the culprits were. But, I was totally wrong and I really enjoyed the suspense. I was shocked at the ending and wondering if they will ever reunite.
Wow! That was a good story. I loved Keyes and Wyld together. I will say this book has a lot of psychos in it. Also that rehab should be closed because how did they not know. I loved the twist at the end.
The investigate skills you needed to figure out who did what... still did not prepare you for the outcome. Whewwww... it's hard enough having strangers hating you, but a sibling? So glad LOVE came out on top! The underdog won!
When I tell yall this book had me from the beginning to the end from all the suspense!! I wish we can get a part 2 so we could get their reunion 😊 10/10 ratings from me Can’t wait to read more from Wynta Tyme
This book was amazing so many twists and turns and I definitely couldn’t predict the ending. This my first time reading a book by this author and she’s good with the pen for sure I’m about to read her whole catalog
This book was very good , i love a plot , i love the suspense & the ending like come on are we getting a book #2 ? It hurt my heart the way Locke treated his brother , i wanted keye to beat his a$$ so bad lol but anyway read the book !
