The CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) National Eligibility Test (NET) is a competitive examination conducted in India for candidates seeking Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and eligibility for Lectureship in the field of Life Sciences and other subjects. The examination is conducted twice a year, typically in June and December, by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of CSIR.
