A true gem

This series is truly a treasure trove, and I hope it keeps giving. I plan to buy paperbacks for all of the middle schoolers on my Christmas list this year. There are laugh out loud, tearjerking, and heartwarming moments galore. This book takes the horrific parts of being a middle schooler, and turns them around completely into such a positive and uplifting story. I can’t say enough good things about this series.

Science Rules!

Violet Jenkins is a true hero, and Stacey Faubion does a tremendous job writing about the difficulties of being in middle school. There is so much pressure to fit in, and I’m so happy that Violet stays true to her dreams of being an astronaut. I loved the reference to October Sky, and it reminded me of another wonderful story, Hidden Figures. I loved this book, and I can’t wait to read about the next Violet Jenkins adventure.

VIOLET JENKINS CRUSHES MIDDLE SCHOOL by Stacey Faubion is such a sweet story. Violet has dreams of becoming an astronaut, and after a school assembly, she sets the goal of going to space camp. She must earn the money to pay for it, and her determination and resiliency had me cheering her on. The story is also about friendship and forgiveness. This book would make a great gift!

An engaging and light-hearted book that will capture anyone in middle school's attention. Much like the last book of the series, the author made the protagonist, Violet Jenkins, relatable in this sequel. Great read.
