This book on personal finance is a must-read for everyone. From the start, it's clear that Brennan is a sharp, ambitious educator who genuinely cares about helping readers improve their finances. As I progressed, I was impressed by how effectively he simplified complex concepts, making them accessible to those without a background in business or finance. Each chapter ends with actionable steps, empowering readers to take concrete actions toward financial freedom. The structure is flexible: read a chapter, implement the steps, and move on, or read the entire book and return to the action steps later. This adaptability makes it an excellent resource for anyone serious about improving their finances.
A lot of very good principles. The basic structure is sound. Brennan has proven this method for people who make more than $100k per year. There is a lot of forgiveness if you have a high income. There are some points I would argue don't work as well for people with lower incomes.
Brennan also provides a lot of deep details and very specific pattern to follow. I have found that about a third of the population (detail-oriented people) would very much enjoy building up their financial plan from this book.
Great reminders of financial steps. While I knew most of what was mentioned in the book, there were a few tools of which I wasn't aware. This book helped solidify my own financial beliefs as well as how I teach financial literacy to my students.
Very good, nuts to bolts guide to building your financial pillar from scratch. Actionable steps that if taken will definitely lead you to more financial stability and over time, to financial wealth. Highly recommend.
