This book was fantastic! It’s a why-choose mafia romance that has MM, age gaps, a curvy heroine, plenty of action, tons of spice, and so many plot twists! It was definitely a page-turner and will keep you on the edge of your seat through the whole book.
I absolutely love that Jordyn is a curvy girl! I enjoy when authors have that representation in their books. Jordyn is such a strong woman and will literally do anything to find her sister. She’s had a terrible upbringing and has done everything she possibly could to prevent any harm coming to her sister Pixie.
The uniqueness between all three of the guys was great! Enzo is the Don and head of the family. He’s not afraid to do what needs to be done, he’s dominant, he likes to share, and he places loyalty above all things. Sarge’s wife was murdered years ago, and he’s been pretty much just going through the motions ever since. He wants Jordyn but feels guilty about it like he is dishonoring his wife. Killian is my favorite; he’s a complete psycho due to his traumatic childhood. He cannot stand to be touched but Jordyn stirs something in him that he can’t deny.
The plot twists just kept coming throughout the book and will have you trying to figure out who the rat is the entire time…prepare to have your mind blown. The spicy scenes were scorching hot, the banter was amusing, and these characters do not back down from anything! The cliffhanger has me anxiously waiting for the next book!

“Liar Liar” is the first book in a rapidly released contemporary mafia RH duet, and is filled with complicated characters and an even more intriguing plot. I love the fact that the author chose an fmc who lived through trauma, and became a true survivor of the past she endured. She’s not a badass, nor a damsel. She’s just a woman who tries to survive in a cruel world, and protect the little sister she has loved all her life. But it also makes her the perfect woman for three hardened mafia men.
I’ll admit: I have a book-boyfriend type and once again I fell for the psycho. Killian is pure perfection, and I love the connection Jordyn forms with him. Still, the dynamic between the three men is fascinating as well. It’s a nice change to find a mafia RH without any type of drama regarding sharing, and where all the drama and complication comes from intrigue and betrayal. Add to that some massive plot twists at the end, and now I desperately want to read the next book!

WOW…..This book is amazing and I didn’t want it to end!!! The characters are all so wonderfully written that I found it hard to choose a favourite, especially with Jordyn being such a strong, fierce and determined woman that matched Enzo and his two close friends so well. There are some dark themes in this story so please check the trigger warnings listed, however the story grabs you from page one and doesn't let you go. I loved the roller coaster ride this fast-paced story takes you on, all leading up to one massive cliffhanger. I can't wait to see what happens next and will be counting down the days until Part 2 is released!!

Wheewww. Mafia RH. Is there anything better?! This book is fast paced and keeps you on your toes. I read this book in one sitting, I could NOT put it down. Enzo, Sarge and Killian are the perfect trio for Jordyn. I will say Killian is my favorite. There is just something about a psycho that gets my blood pumping. Lies, secrets, rats, trauma, STEAM this book has it all. That cliffy though… was not expecting that!!! I can’t wait for part two!!

I want to start by saying, I liked this book. I enjoyed it and read it in a day, I will read part 2. It is a solid 3 star read for me. I had some things I liked and some things I didn't like about it.
Let me start with what I did like about this book:
Sarge and the way he cared for Jordyn immediately and felt protective of her
Jordyn and how she was a fighter and overcomer, I really liked that about her character
Jordyn's willingness to do anything at all to get her sister back. I absolutely adored the devotion to protecting her sister.
The spice was very very nice, two thumbs up for that
Harper, I loved Harper so much!
What I didn't like:
The writing was a little too formal for me, sometimes I was like "dang, can we get a contraction up in here" haha! It wasn't so much that it ruined the read for me but, it did make me feel uncomfy at times, especially in the spicy scenes.
At first Jordyn was presented as kind of timid and a little bit soft but, then she immediately switched to mouthy and strong willed. I felt like the character in the first couple chapters was not the same character that finished in the book - and it wasn't a character arc thing, it was just like one page she was timid then BAM not anymore.
I felt like Enzo and Sarge should really just be together and that Kill and Jordyn are just intruding on their love story.
I felt like the author missed the mark just a bit with making Killian come across as a psycho killer who is antisocial until Jordyn came along. I just felt like he was one of those guys who is like "I am no good for you, you can't handle me" but, really he's just insecure and kind of cringe.
The ending got to be a little much for me with Mario and Leo and Pixie and like, I just felt like it took the story a bit too close to comically ridiculous to me.

I just love RH and Mafia books. To get both of this is one book is heaven on earth. I just loved the book. I will definitely be rereading it again. I could not put it down. Kudos to Jaye Pratt on an amazing book. So far I have loved the books that I’ve read of hers.
Jordyn is such a strong independent fearless FMC that will do anything for her little sister Pixie even sacrificing herself. Trying to find out who kidnapped her sis. Jordyn’s men will help find her providing she marries the boss Enzo and stays with them. Sarge her sweet bodyguard and Killian the Enforcer. They all develop a relationship with each other. This book has a lot of spicy scenes that leave you wanting more. There is a lot of betrayal and a twist of events at the end. Never never saw that coming. What a cliffhanger. That cliff hanger was just was just was just …. It seems I’m at a loss for words at the moment. Thank you for that Jaye. I’m needing part 2 pronto…I mean like yesterday. I will be drowning in misery till I get the second book. My family may get tired of my moppiness. Lol. Anyway love the book. Thank you for the opportunity of being an ARC. I really appreciate that.

Provocative and edgy
This book was all spice, drama, angst, and violence. I loved it! I think Killian is my favorite of the three, but I loved them all. There's so much tied into this plot, and it's a bit convoluted, but I figure part two will hold all the answers. There are plenty of potential triggers, and the spice is hot hot! 18+
So, I'll be starting the next book soon! Highly recommend this dark mafia why choose romance!

“Liar Liar” is the first book in the “D’Arco mafia duet”
I honestly had no idea what to expect when I first started reading this amazing work of art, I was immediately consumed, and I just could not stop reading it.
Jaye Pratt is an outstanding author, that will keep your entertained throughout the entire journey.
Liar Liar is a why choose mafia romance that will have you falling for each and every one of the guys. Enzo is the mafia boss who’s high on loyalty and knows what he wants and he wants Jordyn. Sarge has a soft spot for Jordyn. Sarges wife was murdered and he suffers with his guilt that he was unable to protect her, until he meets Jordyn. Jordyn makes him feel things he never thought he’d feel again, but he also feels like he is dishonouring his wife’s memory by developing feelings for Jordyn, now we have my favourite Killian, who is the darkest of the group of man, Killian can’t stand to be touched due to his childhood trauma but Jordyn awakens something deep inside him, he feels I deep chemistry with her and he can’t deny his feelings for her. This book had so many plot twists and wtf moments that I just couldn’t stop reading it. I loved Jordyns chemistry with each and every single guy in this book. This is a duet and it does end in a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to continue this phenomenal story. Can it be October already please?

That was an absolutely gripping plot from the beginning - dark vibes, kidnapping , human trafficking, mafia rivalry and cunning plotting within the families. The writing was fantastic, rather fast- pasted with numerous twists and turns. The author has done superbly with the characters' creation and development. Jordyn has experiences primarily the gore that life hast to offer and despite the abuse, hardships and mistreatment, the only thing that kept her going is her younger sister.
When Pixi is taken, Jordyn is determined to sacrifice everything to get her back and due to unforeseen meeting with Enzo D'Arco and his bodyguard Sarge, the FMC might just have found a way to get her sister back.
Each of the MMCs has his own demons to tackle, but it seems that what started as a business deal with Jordyn may turn into their own salvation. Killian is the darkest for me here and I hope that more would be revealed in the next book. Serge is a tender soul, who is dealing with his own grief and Enzo... I am still not sure how I feel about him. As the Mafia Boss he carries many responsibilities, but I need more development as to see beyond the surface.
The last chapter left me speechless as some rather unexpected events took place and the vicious game for power and control just got more complicated.

Jaye Pratt is one of my favorite reverse harem authors. She knows how to masterfully write complex characters and emotions while always keeping you fully engaged and wanting more. And she’s the absolute best at writing psycho, damaged, stalker book boyfriends. I always know I’m going to read something fabulous when Jaye comes out with a new book and once again, she doesn’t disappoint.

The FMC, Jordyn, is as unique as she is fierce. She’s forced into prostitution (or as her best friend Harper says, “mattress actress”) to find her twelve year old sister, who has been sold by her drug addict mother’s boyfriend. On her first night she meets Enzo, mafia Don, and his body guard, Sarge. Enzo asks Jordyn to come work for him. She’s warned against meeting their enforcer, Killian, so of course she does and he’s instantly drawn to her. All the characters have deep seated trauma that binds them to one another and they all fall hard.
The book is action packed, full of heat (there’s an unforgettable car scene), engaging banter, intricate characters, and a story line that twists all the way through and has you seriously wondering who the rat is! Killian’s craziness mixed with Sarge’s sweetness and Enzo’s dominance is literally the trifecta of book boyfriends. You’ll fall hard for these dangerous men and the tenacious woman that completes them. Once you start reading, you absolutely won’t be able to put it!
The book gets a little chaotic at the end, both in writing and how much is going on, but it ends with quite the cliffhanger. I can’t wait to find out how this story ends!

I’ll be honest about the fact that I’m not a fan of the why choose, reverse harem, sharing trope. Normally I’ll stay away from it because it’s too much smut with too much of everything and I just think it’s nasty. However, in this book it isn’t bothering as much as it would normally do. I get the attraction and even the sharing and seeing your friends happy because of it.
The first part of this duet was a whirlwind of emotions, actions, threats, anticipation, different kinds of moments that left me wondering and an ending that got me grabbing my hair and left my mouth agape.
It’s a good duet with enough action, anticipation, betrayal, darkish parts, sharing, smut, fear, fierceness, loyalty, love, mafia elements and a lot of side characters.
It’s just that halfway through the second book it feels like it was gonna take forever to get to the point. There was so much going on, so much to take into consideration. It felt like the bad stuff just kept going and going. It took forever.
That’s the only downside that bothered me. Besides all of that it’s a good story with enough to keep you hooked but you need patience.
I loved Killian and Sarge, but the whole Pixie thing still is a big question mark for me. I’m just not sure if I liked it all or not.

The way this book had me giggling and kicking my feet??? omg I had so much fun. I really enjoyed this it honestly was such a good way to start my year off.
Not only was the story interesting and the spice HOT but I am loving all the characters! Regardless of the position that Jordyn is in she’s still snarky and I LOVE that. She really doesn’t let anyone walk all over her and honestly with the way this book ended I feel like she’s about to be even stronger in book two.🤭
The guys…I really like Enzo specifically because the way him and Jordyn’s first interaction went I can tell when he gets his shit together he’s gonna be my man my man. For now he’s lowkey on my shit list😂
Serge is the actual love of my life. Full stop.🫶🏼 AGAIN from that first interaction, the way he held Jordyn…bro I will throw up I love him so much😭😂 i literally screamed into my pillow “WHEN IS IT GONNA BE MY TURN!” Then he really just proves why he is my favorite the entire book. He’s precious.
Now…Killian is sooo unhinged and I’m obsessed. Also the way he was so confused why he was clearly into Jordyn was so funny to me.💀and he was so quick to defend her not once but twice! We love to see it.🤭

I love mafia Romance. So throw in one girl and 3 totally different men and you got me. Jordyn is looking for her sister pixie who was sold into trafficking. She is at a brothel with friends that work there when a Sexy guy and his bodyguard (sarge) walk in. Jordyn feels an instant connection to both men. Enzo walks into brothel and find more than he is bargaining for when he gets Jordyn. He pays for her time and leaves. Someone in his family is betraying him by trafficking young girls on his hunt for information he comes across information leading him back to Jordyn. He makes her a deal. He then catches her snooping and gives her to Killian his person for unaliving people (he's also a lil unhinged) Enzo puts her to a loyalty test. All three men have feeling for Jordyn. Can they help her find her sister? What happens when she does something that changes their dynamic? I absolutely couldn't put this book down.

So I was hooked right from the beginning! These characters just jumped off the page for me and I thought I had the storyline all figured out; I was completely wrong. I was shocked with some of the twists towards the end of this book. This cliffhanger is made me want to laugh and scream. I thought it was an amazing cliffhanger but I just wanted to scream because I need to know what happens next!
I really liked Jordyn. She’s had a hard life and has done so much to protect her younger sister. Trying to find her sister leads her to Enzo, Sarge, and Killian. These guys are the mafia so they have to be able to help her but how much is she willing to give up for their help? They aren’t really the good guys so she certainly can’t fall for them? The dynamics between Jordyn and the guys is great and gets pretty steamy at times. I can’t wait to see how their dynamics shift after all the twists in the last few pages of this book. I have to say, Sarge is definitely my favorite of the guys.
If you enjoy mafia books with steam and twists then you need to read this book!

Enzo is the Don and head of the family with Sarge by his side, who’s wife was murdered and seeks revenge. Killian is beyond a psycho but cares deeply to his core. He would do anything for this best friends Enzo and Sarge. Together all three of them are fascinated by Jordyn. Being the sting, sassy, will take no for answer, she is slowly breaking down the walls of these three men. Talk about super sexy times, MM, voyeur, and so much. This book it on fire!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Liar Liar is book one in the “D’Arco mafia duet and is a reverse harem/mafia trope and is a page turner from the outset.
I do prefer books written in multiple POV’s, as in my opinion you get a more rounded/full picture from every perspective, which I enjoyed about this book.
Jordyn’s sister is missing and she will do whatever it takes to get her back, which leads us to Enzo - Mafia boss; Sarge, Enzo’s bodyguard and finally Killian, the darkest of the three - each with their own idiosyncrasies/trauma that encompasses who/what they are.
The book had multiple plot twists that kept you enraptured with this story and as a duet you need to know it does end on a cliffhanger, but thankfully only having to wait until the beginning of November to get your final fix 👍🏼 and OMG! I can’t wait to continue this story!

This contemporary mafia based RH has some dark undertones to it. I guess that's to be expected when it involves crime family drama. And that drama will stuck you right in!
My heart went out to Jordyn in this story. She fought to keep her sister safe, taking on abuse from her mother's scumbag boyfriends, only for one of them to sell her sister. She immediately tried her best to find her sister and that put her right in Enzo's path and into a life filled with danger. But she would do whatever it takes to save her sister, even it that meant playing wife to the head of the mafia family, the second chance for his bodyguard, and surviving his personal killing machine. Standing strong against a cruel betrayal at the end, Jordyn will face whatever comes next no matter what. I'm prepared for screaming and crying in the next book.

This is a total page turner and I was invested from the start in Jordyn's mission to get her sister back as well as the relationships with Enzo, Killian and Sarge and how they progress throughout the story. It is very fast paced though; there was an awful lot of plot squeezed into this which unfortunately doesn't leave too much room for some of the character development but I was still totally swept up in the drama. There are so many twists and turns though that my head was spinning; I genuinely didn't see some of those coming and I can't wait to see how book two pans out!

Jordyn quickly discovers that her life is about to be turned upside down as she will do whatever it takes to find a way to find her younger sister Pixi who was sold by her mother's drugged addicted boyfriend.
The characters are interwoven complex and so very dangerous. There are parts of book 1 that were difficult to read, however it was written well.
A dark why choose mafia romance.
I loved reading book 1 and can't wait to see what happens now that everything and everyone learns about the hidden secrets and see what Enzo plans to do with Jordyn.
An absolute must read.

This book was absolutely phenomenal- couldn’t put it down until the very last jaw dropping word.
The storyline was well thought out and written with such detail and emotion.
Loved Doll, such a tragic upbringing. Her inner strength, integrity and her acceptance of others was beautiful.
Kill was totally fascinating, his personality was portrayed with such suspense and mystery- I mesmerised, on the edge of my chair the whole time with him and totally loved it.
Sarge and Enzo are two very hot AF guys, Enzo with his Mafia boss responsibilities and Sarge as his BFF/body guard - perfect dynamic.
The steamy scenes were smokin hot.
The cliff hanger ending had me screaming for more - I was so invested in the book I didn’t want it to end. .. Can’t wait for the next book.

Since this is a duet there’s a cliffhanger at the end but Jaye Pratt decided why write a cliffhanger when she could just give us a plot twist we won’t see coming!! I’m serious this was a plot twist I was not expecting. My jaw hit the floor.
I need October to get here now. How are we supposed to wait to see how this plays out??? So ready for more and I just finished it!
