This tough-minded Toronto-based series stars Kyra Harper as Peggy, a fortyish newspaper columnist who can out-drink and out-write all the guys. Peggy's column provides the focus for each half-hour story's plot. Going after the story behind the story, Peggy takes everything personally. Just like her columns, these stories don't end in simple cliches. They leave the listener with something substantial to chew on. As the stories relate to Peggy's own life, what emerges is a portrait of a contemporary career woman who is realistically and engagingly flawed.
