Rebecca is a 35 year old smart and sassy, curvy girl who is a hacker. Stephen is a grumpy, hunky, ex-military man now working for Mystic Steele Security. When Rebecca is brought into the team for her hacking skills, Stephen is immediately rude to her, telling her she's too young to be there. There are so many twists and turns in this story. It pulled me in and I was hooked.
Rebecca Stansfield met Mateo Steele in a casino after she had won by cheating. At first she thought he worked for the casino and would seize her winnings. Instead he cautioned her to be careful. The money wasn't all that important to her. Cheating the casino was easy for her. The excitement and fun of cheating was more important than the cash. Mateo told her when she got greedy to contact him as he had a job that would give her excitement.
Mateo has taken Rebecca under his wing. They have a father-daughter relationship. He's had her trained in self-defense and firearms. She's putting her hacking and computer skills to work for the team. The team that is split in their acceptance of her. Stephen is one against her being there but there's also a spark that just may burst into flame...
Stephen Mitchell was the newest member of the team until her arrival. The former SEAL had been framed for murder and sent to prison. Mateo was able to get him out. Stephen has a good idea who set him up but needs proof.
Mateo owns Steele Mystic Security which also does PI work. His team is made up of former SEALs. Someone is after the majority of the team. Is it connected to their last mission? They are on the search for the leader, a man known only as Eagle. There's a mole in their team. But who and why? The FBI or the CIA seem to keep popping up to hinder them. A HOT love story unfolds. Shootings, beatings, kidnappings, hidden bombs, explosions, and betrayal abound, oh my!

I was so lost through this book. Definitely needed to read others by this author to understand what was going on. My daughter asked me about the plot and I honestly had no idea what to tell her. Some bad guys are after some good guys but I don't even know why or how they are connected and it never was explained further than a 'messed up mission'
Rebecca is brought into a Security Team and was not respected, but her value is soon appreciated by the team she is now working with. While the chemistry builds between them, they work to save their friends, find a mole as well as find their happy ending.
I really enjoyed this book. Amid all the action in saving Mystic and the guys, Stephen and Rebecca find love. The story flows well and the characters come over as realistic. I can't recommend this book highly enough.
I like Rebecca. She is brave and she is smart. I like Stephen. He is grumpy and gruff. The story has potential. I do not care for the writing style. 2.5 stars.

I enjoyed reading this book and loved the ending when Stephen gets teary eyed seeing Rebecca start to walk down the aisle for their wedding. It made the book seem real which I liked. I couldn't put the book down until I finished reading it, because I wanted to see what was going to happen next. It was a good military romance read, and I am excited to read the next book in this series.
