Synthesizing primary and technical data, this book focuses on the legal and political aspects of Israeli administration in the West Bank and the international attempt to resolve the dispute over the territories. The author assesses the present situation and provides guidelines for future action.
Starts off well with a clear account of the various stages of the conflict up to the publication date and the legal issues that each gave rise to, but when it gets to the 1970s, it assumes that the events are recent enough that the reader knows the background. This was less than helpful for me, born in the late 60s and reading the book in 2007; presumably a younger reader today would have an even harder time.
