Most of Europe lies underwater thanks to the ongoing battle between Amazon and Atlantean, but one man braves the rough waters in search of his missing treasure. Deathstroke the Terminator enters the world of FLASHPOINT with his own limited series tie-in!
Deathstroke is a pirate. Yep a pirate. So is Warlord. They have a fight and it seems like Deathstroke is searching for his daughter. If I don't seem overly enthused in my review of this-it is because I am not. The artwork is pedestrian and the story of these guys as pirates strikes me as a little dense since that would put them in the ocean- everything in it answers to Emperor Aquaman. So I am not sure about the efficacy of pirates. This point is proven near the end of this issue, though ironically, it is the ending that will draw me back for issue 2 just to see what happens. If I find issue two to be as banal as issue one I likely will not finish this series as I have found the different Flashpoint mini-series to have differing levels of quality. Deathstroke's tale falls towards the lower end of the spectrum. Let's hope for a better 2nd issue.
P.S. The Ravager is the name of his pirate ship if you are wondering.
