On my quest to explore the romance genre...
Okay, I have nothing bad to say about this book other than...it's not for me. While it is a fine example of clear, straightforward writing, solid characters, and lighthearted romping, I kept running into things I wished were different. Different rules of the game.
There'a lot of foreplay - but no sex.
I never once burst into tears, but I did giggle once or twice.
Nothing truly serious happens; you know how everything's going to go from the start, too, so there are no surprises.
Bad? No, not at all. But this is the kind of thing that I picked up as a kid and said, "Naaah." And ended up with Clan of the Cave Bear instead. A matter of taste, and interesting to find out.
