I used this book to teach a year-long course to high school juniors and seniors. The application-driven approach makes the concepts from precalculus, engineering, and statistics come alive.
One bit of advice: don't get too caught up in covering the entire text. I found the pacing guide in the teacher's edition to be unreasonably ambitious. In my view, it was worth sacrificing some breadth in order to bring additional active learning activities into the classroom. Focus on what students really need to know and leave the, say, three dimensional law of sines alone.
