So easy… Home Sewing is the perfect introduction to making fabulous items for your home. It covers all the basics, starting with the seams and hems, through to piping and borders and tassels and trims, with helpful information about fabric selection, stitches, a sewing machine guide, the essential equipment, scissors, notions and other tools, needed to get started.

The helpful, stand up format with its step by step photos enables the sewer to master the techniques and steps required for a wide variety of practical and decorative projects. New sewers will become familiar with their machines and gain the skills needed to create simple sewing projects using a wide variety of fabrics and learning basic sewing skills along the way. The book is set up as a series of workshops enabling the sewer to first learn the techniques involved and then go on to create simple projects using those techniques. Many projects have alternatives and show a wide variety of looks to ensure personalization. Close-up photos of each technique, clear, detailed and comprehensive instructions, as well as tip boxes throughout ensure great results.

The 30 attractive and simple projects, especially geared for the beginner, include a simple eyelet curtain, a padded headboard, quilted placemats and even a fun wigwam play tent. This book makes it possible for even the beginning sewer to achieve great results the first time he or she starts to sew.

Interestingly, this spiral bound book is printed sideways so you can stand it up to follow along with your projects. Each of the 25 projects is complete on a two-page spread. I saw several projects I plan on creating. Recommended.
