A Part of My Family Forever
Isabel has a loving family―a mother, a father, and two brothers. And when she was younger, Isabel was adopted. One day, she starts noticing little things that make her feel different―her dad makes her sit in the middle seat; her brothers play soccer better than she does; her mom doesn't buy her favorite peanut butter. As Isabel focuses more and more on her differences, her emotions become too big for her to handle. Will Isabel ever feel like she belongs? A Part of My Family Forever is the perfect book for foster and adoptive families to discuss the big emotions that come along with adoption and the differences that make each family unique. Written by an adoption counselor, this book will help children learn how to handle their big emotions and to see that they are loved for just who they are.

Thank you @rockstarbooktour and @emilybelknap for having our kids and I on this booktour, and our tour stops here today.
This beautiful written and illustrated book is definitely a thankful book read during Thanksgiving and my kids think this is one of the greatest children’s book they’ve read this year.
👧🏻👦🏻 reviews: This simple yet colorful and meaningful book covers many things that any children should read and understand why parents, birth or adoptive, do things the way they do. Isabella seems spoiled rotten but things happen for a reason. We know why, but it’s fun to poke and see it from Isabella’s point of view because we both know that we had acted the ways she did, at least once or thrice, when we were younger. It’s really a fun book to be read to the smaller and younger kids so they understand the differences and importance of being loved and accepted by birth and, or adoptive parents. Beautiful book!

Isabel was different than the other members of her family—she was adopted. Isabel always felt her parents preferred her other siblings more than her.
“I can’t do anything right. I always mess up and make people upset.”
Isabel would fear that one day she would make a big mistake and her parents wouldn’t want her anymore.
Emotions were running rampant inside her. Then she talked it out with her mother.
The book was filled with lovely and colorful illustrations. I especially liked the comical expressions.
A nice read about adopted kids that often feel unwanted. It’s okay to make mistakes as your family will always love you no matter what. A sweet and hopeful story about a family’s love.

I liked this book about Isabel and her journey with her adopted family. I am not adopted, nor do I have much experience with adoption, but I do know that adopted children sometimes do feel that they have done something wrong to be adopted or they feel not good enough to be in their new adopted family.
This book had a great message about family and how your family is your family no matter if you are blood related or not. Not all family is blood related and there are some families that are adopted or blended into others, or even friends that can be family:)
The illustrations are great, and the writing is very engaging for the readers, whether they are young or old. My 8-year-old loved this one and liked the ending!
