THE RIDE OF PRIDE is about parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson, and their son, Jaylen. Mr, and Mrs. Anderson are concerned that their son is not as interested in his school work as he should be. They look for a way to motivate Jaylen to work harder in school.
They decided to use the contributions of black inventors to enhance Jaylen's pride is his African -American heritage. Mr. Anderson uses a journey through their town to point out inventions of black men and women that we all use daily. Mr. Anderson's method of motivation is unique and effective. The method of motivation is reinforced continuously, in that Jaylen will encounter these inventions daily.

The Ride of Pride is a great book at focus on parental involvement and black inventors.
