The Hartford Ladies #1
An Improper Pursuit
A GAME OF KISS-AND-TELL
Chastity Hartford simply hated her name. She was a most proper lady, but a few stolen kisses had made her the laughingstock of the ton and ruined her prospects for a suitable match. Now she was on the shelf at her parents' seaside estate—and fit to be tied. Until her mother threw a lavish house party...and Chastity found herself bandying bon mots with an irresistibly handsome, much-decorated military officer.
Alex Fitzsimmons knew all about Chastity's society scandal. Still, he thought the fetching, green-eyed miss might make a pleasant dalliance while he secretly pursued his real mission. But an innocent scavenger hunt would soon sweep them into a dangerous adventure where spies lurked and two sparring partners would learn the rules of a new game...called love.
