Patsy Pig plans a surprise birthday party for her friend Albert, giving careful instructions to all their friends - but then she forgets to invite the guest of honor!
Such a cute book! I loved all of the characters in the book, and especially the party planning that took place, it was great to see it all laid out for the kids in case they want to plan their own party! I loved the ending about forgetting to invite Albert, very cute. The pictures were nicely drawn as well, which kept the child's attention.
I have to rate this four stars because I think it's a three and Julia says five. Hence, the four. Julia and I both tend to see Albert books as hit or miss. I can't think of the title but I seem to remember hating one and wanting to get it out of the house asap. This wasn't nearly as bad. The characters are humorous and I think most kids will get a kick out of Patsy forgetting to invite Albert. Illustrations are okay.
This story was cute. It showed true friendship with the idea of all the characters chasing after Albert in order for him to have a great birthday. However, it showed forgetfullness, but it all turned out okay in the end.
