After a car accident that killed Ellen, Karin took over Ellen's identity. They are sisters and everyone thought they were twins. Dave, a PI, shows up at her door wanting Ellen's help. When he unwittingly exposed her, she had to help him. Even though she knew nothing about the missing boys. She came to the conclusion that she needed to tell Dave the truth. Karin was running from her step father who is a con artist. She had been helping him run cons since she was a little girl. She wanted out, but he wouldn't let her go. So, when she found her opportunity, she took it. Now Dave knows the truth and she could go to jail, but she can't turn her back on the missing boy. Will Dave ever trust her or will she have to cut him loose and do it all on her own?

The fifth book in the Wild Hearts collection that can be read as a stand alone. Karin, in attempting to escape her former con life, assumes her dead sister’s identity only to get caught up in a suspenseful action adventure of uncovering the truth behind a missing child. An easy read with plenty action and suspense, with a touch of romance.

I received this book from Library things for an honest and fair reviewed. This is book 3 in the series, I havent read the other 2 book but you dont need to as this is a stand alone story.

I really enjoyed this book, I didn't no what to expect when I started the book but i was pleasantly surprised. The book follows ex-con women Karin living as her sister Ellen so that she could escape her step-father. Life was simple living on a small farm until P.I Dave Hunter comes asking for Ellen help about a missing boy. Karin ends up using her Con women ability to help Dave get evidence to prove that a powerful man is guilty.

I enjoyed the book as it wasn't the normal crime fiction book, the crime brought Karin and Dave together but it was there dynamic were the main focus of the book and what I enjoyed more. I liked the touch of Karin writing letter to Ellen as that allowed me to see a different side to her and filled in some gaps in the story.

I received a free copy of this book from LibraryThing. This is an engaging story that has drama, suspense and romance. Karin is a con artist who finally escapes the man who has been physically and emotionally abusing her since she was a child. Dave is a private security guy with issues from his childhood who is trying to catch a child killer. After their paths cross, they not only fall in love, they begin to help each other heal. This is an intriguing story, and the characters are fascinating. I loved reading every page.

A lot of drama, suspense and romance...This book is about a con artist who assumes her dead sister’s identity in order to escape her past. She is living under the radar until an investigator unintentionally
brings a child serial killer to her door. She is forced to perform the con of her life to catch a killer and save a child and maybe save herself.

Although this book is part of a series, you can read it as a standalone novel. It was a quick read, fast-paced, and entertaining. I thought the characters were fairly well developed and the plot well laid out.
