Product In “Takin' Care of The BIG IDEA for Small Business,” you'll learn the one critical element that determines success or failure for a small business. In addition to strategies and tactics to help you succeed, this book features inspirational stories of ordinary, everyday folks who've turned their businesses around and are now enjoying the good life.
As a former CPA and a graduate from Business School, I found Takin' Care of Business as an excellent, simple and to the point book anyone owning a small business must read. The ease with which key business and management concepts are explained and weighted is one of the strengths of this book. While the true scope of the book is limited to certain industries, its core fundamentals are widely applicable. Love it. Have read and re-read a few times and will keep doing so, just because as a quick read it helps me to refresh core fundamentals.
This is a short book, easy to read, which introduces Buffini and Niegro's approach to business: Business by Referral. In it, they give good, crisp advice on having a solid, three-legged stool for a small business: Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, and Finances. Their advice is supported by good and well-told stories of success and failure.
The book is easy to read, but as with any human endeavor, the "doing" is much harder than the "reading." Small business would be wise to take their advice and focus on the doing.
I very much enjoyed this book! I am currently taking Brian's course and there are a lot of the same points reiterated in this book. Definitely worth the read, it's short and full of tons of successful information.
If you ever find yourself feeling overwhelmed with all the things that you have to do in order to succeed with your business, this book will help you gain clarity. It helped me understand what comes first and what is important.
