I received an advanced copy of Back to Bonaire, A Lyle Cooper Story (book #2). I really had been looking forward to continuing on Lyle’s journey in book 2, and I have to say that it was a struggle for me through the first half of the book. But…I am SO glad that I kept with it in order to learn and understand how all the pieces would finally come together.

What I struggled with was wrapping my head around the polyamorous relationship between Lyle and her two loves, Michael Miller and Gray Locklear. But, without giving too much away, this story shows how love and loyalty to the ones that you care most about should not be difficult or complicated. It’s as simple as hearing the words, “I got you”, and knowing that everything is going to be okay.

What Anne Bennett continues to do best in this book is paint such a vivid picture of the sights, sounds, and experiences that are unique to Bonaire. We not only got to experience diving again with Lyle, but she also took us to some parts of the island that we hadn’t experienced in the first book in the series.

I look forward to the continuation of the Lyle Cooper Story.

Back to Bonaire, by Anne Bennett, is the 2nd book in the series. It continues the story of Lyle Cooper. I must say, book #2 did not disappoint. Not only does it bring resolution to the “cliffhanger” from book 1, but it also gives a more in-depth understanding of the characters. The writer has a way of making you feel you are there going through all the challenges of real-life issues with them, as well as enjoying and visualizing the beauty of diving, the caves, and even eating the food. I was so absorbed with Lyle that at times I was angry with her choices, but by the end, I admired her. It’s a beautiful story filled with love, healing, and happiness. Such a good book. Can’t wait for book #3 and the continued adventure with Lyle Cooper.

𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: Enjoyable continuation from book #1 with a splash of a murder mystery! Both MMCs were like-able to the point where I really didn’t know who I wanted her to end up with LOL. This would definitely be a great relaxing summer beach read.

This one also ended with an smidge of a cliffhanger like On Bonaire. Might we be getting a third book??

I was so excited to receive an advanced copy for the second Lyle Cooper story. The first book was so good, and I could not wait to find out what was going to happen next. Back to Bonaire did not only meet my expectations....it significantly exceeded them! I loved how this book went further into the origin of the characters and helped me to understand why they are, who they are. Anne's writing is beautiful and engaging, and Back to Bonaire is a must read!

The second book by Anne Bennett is even better then the first for me. It continues the story of Lyle Cooper and dives into Lyle past which answers the many question unresolved from the first book. I was intrigued with the new characters one of which became my favorite and learned something about tattoing. Cant say I’m always happy with the choices Lyle makes but the book and story line is gripping. The book is of forgiveness, love, strength and finding oneself. I was fortunate enough to be an advance copy reader for this book and look forward to the sequel and Lyles next adventure!
