This is not what I expected so it is a bit hard to score. I gave it 3 stars (good) because it is helpful for those who belong to mainstream protestant denominations looking for a more contemplative approach to their faith life.

Although the book isn't long, it takes time to read because it requires so much thought. I would never have read it if it hadn't been on the reading list for the Academy of Spiritual Formation. Driskill writes for those who feel led to become spiritual directors, and, while I've never felt called to it, I learned much that will help me in my own journey.
