Johnson, a Woodrow Wilson Fellow and Honorary Fellow of Huron University College, London, Canada, has for twenty-five years helped business leaders and educators use discoveries from brain research to benefit their work. Formerly a college dean and university professor, Johnson lectures in Europe and America on the power each of us has to shape our own brain. Johnson is author of several books, including the well-regarded Contextual Teaching and Learning (Corwin, 2002), and co-author of the brain-friendly textbook series Literature for Life and Work (McGraw Hill, 1997). Buku ini bagus, khususnya dalam meng-inspirasi kolaborasi teori dan praktek. Lebih khusus lagi, teori yang dapat dipraktekkan.

Harus diakui, banyak isu pembelajaran dalam dunia pendidikan bersifat sangat abstrak dan sulit utk di-konkretkan.

Buku ini menantang pembacanya, khususnya pendidik, utk membumikan setiap materi pelajaran di kelas.
