I used to work in the Koestler Parapsychology Unit at Edinburgh University and then moved over to the Pharmaceutical industry as a medical writer when no more funding was available for my research.
Eventually, I ended up in Switzerland as a Global Publications Manager. However, I missed writing, and recently gave up my fantastic job to move to Egypt to focus on swimming and writing. The sunshine may also have had something to do with it.
50 New Year's Resolutions as a great how to guide to create obtainable resolutions while also providing you with fun and interesting resolution ideas.
I am horrible at sticking to New Year resolutions so I am glad I found this little gem because I actually did learn something from this book. I am going to be coming back to this book a lot as I tackle resolutions one at a time.
The 50 resolutions the book describes sound really fun and the author provided ideas on how to make each resolution fun to keep you engaged and wanting to continue to work on your goals.
I really appreciate that the author also reminds the reader that it is OKAY to have some cheat or "off" days because no one is perfect. The worst thing you can do is have slip and then just give up all your hard work. I know I used to do that ALL the time so it was encouraging to read ideas on how to get through the hard times and that it is okay to mess up as long as you just keep on pushing through. You are worth all the work you put into yourself!!
