Taiya is soon to be crowned Queen of the Southlands, but first she must find a lover. A masked ball is held and three potential consorts are chosen. For the next three nights, Taiya is visited by one of the chosen who will satisfy her every need. But there is only one person Taiya truly wants - Sir Barrett, Chief of the Royal Guards - but does Sir Barrett reciprocate Taiya's secret feelings?
The queen-in-waiting must hold auditions for her permanent lover. Selection of candidates will be made during a masked ball. The chosen three will each receive one night to please her highness. Descriptions of the boudoir activities run a trifle steamy, so this fairy tale is not for younger readers but I had fun with it. The writing talent is there, it just needs to mature.
