Confined is the last instalment to the Tethered trilogy and it is by far one of the best concluding books to a series I've ever read. This book continues where Conjure left off: Addison's choice, and is full of twists, mysteries, discoveries, truths, heartbreak, and deceit. It's fast paced, engaging, and incredibly satisfying.
What I love most about this book is the tether and feelings between Theo and Addison. I love how he's opened up and how great they are together. Even when they were fighting or pretending to hate each other. I love reading about them; I didn't want to stop! I couldn't wait to see if she finally realized it was him she should be with, considering the fact that even before the tether was put in place, she wanted him. She also thought of him all the time, and I never fully beloved it was entirely the tether's fault. Either way, the ending and all the events leading up to it were incredibly satisfying. It all worked out better than I imagined!
Another thing I loved are the twists. Since reading Conjure I became wary of Kace and completely distrustful of Admer, and all for good reason as I can now say. I knew they both had something to do with Addison's coming to town and all the extra troubles she'd had, but I never though either of them were so power hungry. The fact that Admer was able to do all that he did no matter who he did it to just really frightened me, and I was so sure Addison wouldn't get out without being scarred in some way. But it all worked out and I love that it did. I especially love how she didn't have this minute power surge to get out safe as many books and moves tend to have. Instead, she was exhausted and could hardly conjure up anything, so the fact that she got out was even better.
That said, all the developments and revealed deceits/secrets were well written and definitely enjoyable. In most cases, I would have thought the book was dramatic if it was any other, but the author pulled it off so well that it felt possible and terrifying and so real! It was definitely enjoyable.
Overall, the whole trilogy is fantastic and I definitely recommend it to any lovers of fantasy, action, romance, and maybe even mystery!
