A really useful, well written book for beginners with AppInventor !

I have just finished reading Paula Beer and Carl Simmons' book published by Manning and I cannot but warmly recommend it.

It is not the kind of book usually published by Manning : this one mainly targets fledgling developers (and of the younger variety) but it may nevertheless appeal to more mature hobbyists without much experience in developments and who would be interested in visual programming.

The book perfectly achieves its goal of guiding an aspiring developer even without any experience towards being able to develop attractive applications for the Android platform, all the while understanding what he/she is doing. The examples are practical, entertaining and well chosen. They give an accurate view of the many things it is possible to develop on Android while at the same time provide a development experience with a lot of fun.

At the same time, the authors take great care of introducing concepts very gradually and explaining how to do what with AppInventor.
