Vol 2 follows the MC to an all-girls school which educates daughters of nobility and also the next generation of palace officials. MC, being an outsider, was bullied at first but eventually triumphed over the bullies. The story in this volume is somewhat troupy but it’s not boring, and definitely very enjoyable for readers who like GL. It also reveals the main diplomatic policy of this country, the only country in this continent with a matriarchal royal family (But I’m not sure whether the rest of the society is also matriarchal). It’s basically using the charm and seduction by the female elites which I find somewhat insulting to both sexes because it implies that the greatest asset of a woman is her appearance and charm and men are simply irresistible to good honey traps. Also, I understand that the student fractions are basically supporters for the different princess in the competition for the throne but I don’t understand how derailing a school play by killing someone during the play can hurt a fraction. I feel like this volume has a lot of meaningless kitten fights. But I look forward to the puppy love development between MC and her longtime childhood friend in the next volume.
