There's probably some good information in here, but I found the writing to be difficult to understand. The lack of quality photos/illustrations meant that there was really no way to try to figure out what was being recommended if the text wasn't making sense. This might be a resource for people who are already experts when it comes to sewing clothing, but it's not really accessible to anyone at less than expert status.

Advanced sewing reference. [Note: I have the 1993 edition.] This contains different info from Sandra's Power Sewing, with a different illustrator. I think P.S. is overall more useful in terms of sewing and adapting vintage patterns, but M.P.S. contains some additional tips so I would keep it on hand as a secondary reference (I received both books for free, so it can't hurt).

Hard to use because of inadequate illustrations instead of photos.
