Fairy Song: A Gallery of Fairies, Sprites, and Nymphs

Rate this book
A celebration of all wee creatures and dwellers of the darkest parts of the forest - sprites, nymphs and fairies, with a decidedly naughty attitude! 'Fairy Song' is an international showcase of art that captures the pure magic of unseen worlds with a sensual aura that only semi-dressed little winged females can deliver!

I'm no expert on nude fairies, sprites and nymphs. Needless to say, this book is filled with illustrations of these winged lovelies. Despite my lack of expertise, I'm fairly certain that fairies, sprites and nymphs are supposed to be diminutive rather than proto-Amazonian, a la Frank Frazetta, as some are depicted here. I "read" this while hanging out at Half Price Books today. The cover image, though tamer than what's inside, gives you some idea of the concept. Quite nice, and I did want to buy it, but, shit, when I'm at that bookstore I want to buy everything.

The pieces by Arantza (including the cover) were the only ones worth anything; the rest was mediocre at best.

SQP Gallery girls collection of erotic pin-up fantasy art of fairies and nymphs.

A-Typical Gallery girls title. Mix of colour, sepia and b/w full page erotic fairy artworks - not particularly great although as ever, the works of Pelaez stand out - his faces are beautiful. There's again nothing more than the art here, no techniques or artist bios.

Very much overpriced for what it is.

I was given this book by a friend and I thought it was along the lines of The Art of DragonLance. This is far from it - no context explaining any of the work within. If you like nudes of fairies then this is for you. If you like quality artwork of the fantasy genre, don't by this book.
