This was a decent read but I think I might have enjoyed it more if I read Lucky Break first. I would have liked to know their story before reading about their backstory and how the ended up where they were. It just felt out of sequence for my OCD brain :). But, it was a very sweet read. I liked how Zoey and Jude played Nathan with the documentary.

The Ballad of Jude continues where Lucky Break ends but includes Jude's history

The Ballad of Jude has been referred to as a prequel, but I do not look at it that way. To get the most enjoyment out of The Ballad of Jude I recommend reading Lucky Break first. Lucky Break is about a female rock star, Lucky Saldano, who breaks into the music industry and by chance has a well known rock star, Jude, accompany her on her first tour. Lucky Break is her story and romance. The Ballad of Jude starts off where Lucky Break ends, but to understand Jude's feelings the author delves into Jude's past, specifically his introduction to the music industry. The past explains Jude's reactions and feelings for Lucky today. The two books work very well as written and are absolutely wonderful. I felt like I knew the characters and was along for the tour.

This is a prequel to Liliana Rhodes book Lucky Break (you don't have to read Lucky Break before reading this one) in this book she introduces us to the amazing Jude Morrison and shows how his band Silverlight got it's start.
This is a story of 1st love and what it can teach you as well as what being a rock star can do to 1st love. Follow Jude as he falls in love with Zoey and see how their friendship blossoms into love and so much more......
I loved getting to know the other guys in the band as well and love to hate Cade the cocky lead singer of the band. Can't wait to read more of this amazing series soon!
