Kaylee O'Shay's father wants his ten-year-old daughter to be a soccer star, just like he was. When Kaylee impulsively joins a competitive Irish dance group, the family is suddenly stretched in two very different directions. As she struggles to succeed in both sports, Kaylee encounters demanding teachers, unexpected friendships, cruel adversaries and a colorful new world of brilliant color and Celtic music. But when she learns that the championship soccer game and her first Irish dance performance are on the same day, Kaylee realizes that any decision she makes will betray someone she loves and destroy everything she has worked for.
At first, I wasn't sure I would enjoy this book because it is definitely for a younger audience, But I loved how I was able to identify with the main character. All Irish Dancers MUST READ THIS BOOK! So inspirational and a really fast page turner.
