Allison Sandoval is on the run after discovering the secret her new husband, Rafael, the leader of a South American country, has kept hidden from the world. She must tell what she knows and stop Rafael but she is on her own, physically weakened by his abuse, and she is running out of time.

Zach Corrigan, owner of a Special Ops organization, accepts the job to find Allison, a woman he is told is mentally ill and who suffers from hallucinations and paranoia. But when Zach finds her, something isn't right and after he returns her to her husband, Zach can't get her out of his mind or the belief that he's made a mistake in taking her back.

Zach is determined to right that wrong. What began as a job is turning into something more. With Zach, Allison finds a refuge and something she’d given up on, hope. But Rafael isn't the only one hunting Allison. The CIA wants her too. Zach will do everything in his power to make Allison safe, beginning with finding a place for her to hide. But with enemies all around them, there is no place to hide . . .

This series has become my guilty little pleasure. These men are the protectors of their women and whew this was the most intense, violent one of them all. What Allison went through was horrifying. Zach Corrigan is the leader of a Spec Ops team and makes a huge mistake when it comes to Allison but he immediately does everything in his power to remedy that and protects Allison from a monster.

Wow looking at the reviews here I'm going to be the bad guy and give this a so so review. I almost couldn't read this book to the end. I did skim a bit in the middle of the story.

The plot worked for me, the story was paced well, and there was lots of action.

Zach was sort of believable as a SEAL. I did laugh every time Zack said “My men” this and that. I keep trying to see my son say stuff like that and it makes me crack up. (team mom here) Seriously if they talk, you don’t understand half of what they’re saying anyway.

Poor Allison, I wanted to give her a Gibbsslap. (adding to the abuse she already suffered) I wanted her to grow a pair… but she cried throughout the ENTIRE … WHOLE …. OF … THE … STORY … And I suffered through this listening to the Audio version of this book. This was narrated by Andrea Bates and she did cry every single time Allison cried. OMG…

This book might have been better if I had read it.

Enough said…

Enjoy

This book was another in the kindle series. This was about Zack and Allison how they meet and how he saved her. I liked the plot but it contained a lot of violence. It was about domestic violence that's one thing I don't want to read about. I love to read and get away from the real world so this isn't my favorite thing but it a good book.

This one was too bloody

The main character Allison lived thru torture and starvation. She suffered continuously. Her romance with Zach didn’t feel real. She was portrayed as pretty damaged so I’m not seeing any reason for Zac to be attracted. The pig farmers just added another layer of violence. I loved Zach but poor Allison just wasn’t a good fit. Disappointed ☹️

Hide book 4 in the Protectors series was a fast pace read. I felt for Allison and all the awful things that she went through with her husband and trying to get away from that Situation. Zach is a typical alpha male. I'm not sure I truly bought into the love angle with all that Allison went through and Zach saving her. But the suspense was good and had me wanting to see them together at the end.

Loved this book. The suspense grabbed me at the beginning & kept me reading until I finished. The dialogue & plot keeps you on your toes as you read & the writer tosses in unexpected twists to keep you going. I'm not sure what took me so long to find this author but I'm enjoying reading this series. Each can be read as a stand alone but I'm enjoying reading them in order. On to the novella!
