I read an 1897 edition of this and really appreciated the illustrations. This is a short memoir written by one of George du Maurier's friends, presumably to capitalize on the success of Trilby. A fun, easy, light read of some frivolous recollections, mainly of interest to enthusiasts of the novel.
Kind of interesting, but didn't flow smoothly at all. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't have waited until the end to tell my wife about it. She enlightened me that Bohemians can refer generally to a group of people resembling hippies, not just a national group in Czechoslovakia.
