This sweet picture book follows Mr. Bear’s day, as he works to build Mrs. Bear a new chair. He begins by cutting down a tree, cutting the wood, and so on, until he finishes by weaving a seat. Mrs.Bear loves her new chair but readers will soon realize that the story doesn’t end there! Illustrations have a cozy quality about them and pair with the story to create a charming picture book about building something special.

My kids won't put this one down. Building /maintaning / repairing your own stuff is the mark of a true craftsman. The canning lessons was miss-able. 5 stars. Will probably read it 5x again today.

I think this is a cute story with great illustrations. I rate it a 4 because it doesn't have much substance but is a cute read.

"Mr. Bear's Chair" by Thomas Graham is a great book. Mr. Bear and Mrs. Bear was about to have a good breakfast until Mrs. Bear sat on her chair and it broke. Mr. Bear saves the day until his chair broke at super. So then he went on his hunt to fix it again.
I loved how the author made this story. It reminded me of my grandparents. Kids would enjoy reading this because they will find it funny how Mr. Bear's chair broke also at the end. I think this will be a great book to read to K-2.
I loved how the illustrations are fulled paged on all pages with great detail. The pictures tell the story. I feel like the illustrations tell the story more than the text. For example, when Mrs.Bear chair broke, the text didn't say it, I knew from looking at the illustrations. The colors were brownish colors which also reminded me my grandparents.
