The book of Zechariah is second only to Isaiah when it comes to Messianic prophecy. And it’s filled with information on future events, including the coming Tribulation and the glorious return of the Lord.
You can count on David Levy’s commentaries. They’re always relevant and easy to understand. And they give you the historical background you need to understand God’s Word in context.
Levy's book is well written, but it falls short in two key areas: (1) it is too short in length to adequately treat the text of scripture, leaving many questions unanswered or requiring additional research; and (2) it reads remarkably similarly to David Baron's commentary from decades earlier. Read Baron's book instead, it is a more thorough treatment of the subject and is better written. This would be a good book for a quick introduction to the text for new readers.
I'm currently doing a bible study on the book of Zechariah. I have several commentaries but this book is very easy to understand and puts scripture in chronological order! I will highly recommend this book.
