Joshua Tree National Park is one of those places I want to visit. A favourite place of many a musician, the desert boasts many incredible tales. But what's often not talked about is what happens often out of public view. The stories that people don't tell. Ranger X is a ranger at Joshua Tree and has lived in and around the area for all of their life. They've seen things that would send most of us running and have decided to collect the tales of UFO's, witchcraft, ghosts, and strange beings in a single volume. Most of the stories are ones that visitors to the park have told this ranger. Others are experiences that the author themselves have witnessed. If you're a fan of the paranormal, definitely give this one a go. This book has definitely fed my appetite for Joshua Tree and I can't wait to go one day!
I enjoyed reading this book. It was a combination of author's experiences and reported sightings. The author is a park ranger who works and plays in this area. Who better to have experiences then someone who is there all the time. His or her experiences are not too over the top but have just enough excitement to keep you reading. Thank you Ranger X for writing this and letting others know there are things in this world that are just there. This national park sounds like it has it all or at least has seen it all. I definitely recommend reading this.
THE AUTHOR WAS A RANGER AT THIS NATIONAL PARK, AND THAT FACT SETS THIS BOOK APART FROM A MERE NARRATIVE OF THE GOINGS-ON THERE. THE WRITING IS HOMESPUN, BUT THE TALES ARE CAPTIVATING. I'M GOING CAMPING AT JOSHUA TREE NP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
