Douglas Houghton Campbell (1859-1953) was an American botanist and university professor. He was one of the 15 founding professors at Stanford University. His death was described as "the end of an era of a group of great plant morphologists."

A long slog with a LOT of information. As a text book, it is nonpareil; I wish I had the lab and fields to carry out some of the very detailed examinations described in this priceless book. As a resource, however, it is one I will refer to time and again.
