"I was born November 3, 1976 in New York. Growing up one of my favorite time of the day was story time.
Even at an early age, I became wrapped up in whatever story was being read. At the time, I just wanted to be part of the story.
It wasn't until high school that I decided I wanted to be a writer. This is when my ideas for the Adventures of Baby Jaimie started forming.
I was on the newspaper staff for two years in high school and really enjoyed it. We didn't have assigned stories, but we were able to do investigative reporting if we chose to. I was usually more into the freelance style of writing about whatever happened to be on my mind at the time.
In my senior year, I took a creative writing course where I got to explore the depths of my creativity.
After graduation in 1995, I put writing aside for a while. I went to college and did what most people try to do, "try to find myself". I got my Associates degree in 1999.
In 2002, I moved to Florida. I did quite a lot while I was there. I was an active volunteer in the local historical society. I also did volunteer work at the local library.
During this time, I also sang on a few demos at the local studio, tried my hand at songwriting and ran a book club.
It wasn't until 2005, when I picked up The Adventures of Baby Jaimie and started working in earnest to get it done. I finished the text of my manuscript within a month. I submitted it to a handful of publishers, only to be rejected.
Again, I shelved The Adventures of Baby Jaimie, temporarily, when I moved back to New York in the spring 2006 that I even thought about picking it up again. I had lunch with a friend one day in the summer of 2006 who told me about a friend of hers who was also an author. She put me in contact with him, and he gave me advice on how to go about making my dreams of becoming a published author come true.
In November of 2006, AuthorHouse released The Adventures of Baby Jaimie.
After the release, I got busy trying to promote it, and as they say, life happened. I began to try my hand at writing a novel. This proved to be a slow process as well, but not as slow as my first book.
In July of 2008, PublishAmerica released my first short novel, Who Says You Can't Go Home.
You may be asking yourself what's next. Only time will tell."

I received this book from the author to give an honest review.

What a great and wonderful story. Baby Jaimie has her summer all planned out until she wakes up and has a sore throat. From there she has to go to the hospital, the way the story was written out seems realistic. She is scared of being in the hospital but realizes it is not all that bad. This is the first book I have read by this author, and I do plan on getting more of her books. I truly think my 6 year old will love listening to the adventures of Baby Jaimie. I loved the illustrations they were GREAT. This is a must read for those with children.

The Adventures of Baby Jaime: Baby Jaime Goes to Hospital
By Jaime Hope
Reviewer: Aneesa Price (author of romantic fiction - Finding Promise and Coffin Girls)
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Review:
I am first and foremost a mother of two daughters, aged 6 and 8 and when I read this book, I read it to them, as other parents purchasing this book would.
I love the concept of the book and thought that when my daughters had their own tonsillectomies done, it would’ve come in handy. The Baby Jaime character is also delightful and real and I love how she goes about life despite her physical limitations. I also appreciate that the author added in the element of sibling rivalry resolved into the book.
Whilst I loved the book, I found that it was a bit long and too serious for my daughters and their focus on the tale was lost half-way through. I think that it is because the book dealt with two serious issues - sibling rivalry and going to the hospital. I would recommend that one issue be dealt with per book. I’ve also found that when children learn through books, they do so best when humor is injected into the story-line. My daughters are both well-read and love reading as a past-time. It is for this reason, that whilst as a mother and fellow author I would’ve given the book a five star rating, my four star rating is based on the feedback obtained from my daughters.
Overall, this book is worth a read and very relevant for a mother or father taking their children to the hospital for a tonsillectomy.

I was given this book in return for an honest review. This is a cute book that touches on a subject that is really scary for kids. Jaimie has plans for the summer, swimming with her friends and a lemonade stand with her sister. But it all gets sidelined when she wakes up and it feels like her throat is on fire. (that's my 7 year old's favorite part, no idea why. LOL) Needless to say a trip to the hospital to deal with those pesky tonsils is in order. What I liked about the story is that it is realistic in the hospital procedures, thereby making it a great read for a child who may need to have something done. My 7 year old also liked the unlimited ice cream of course. This is a cute story that deals with a very real fear for everyone. My 10 year old didn't even notice Jaimie was in a wheelchair until the end of the book at which point she asked me to go back to the beginning. She had noticed that Jaimie was always sitting down in a chair. The book is also a good way to show children that a person in a wheelchair can do what other people can do and have fun just like anybody else does. Very cute with a much needed message. WaAr

Baby Jaimie Goes to the Hospital by Jaimie Hope is a wonderful book that helps children who face medical issues understand that it's okay to be afraid and that doctors and nurses are here to help makes things better.

School is out for the summer and Baby Jaimie is looking forward to spending the summer with her friends and making a lemonade stand with her sister. All of her plans are sidelined when she wakes in the middle of the night with a sore throat and fever. Jaimie soon learns that she will need her tonsils out. Jaimie is very nervous about spending time at the hospital, but her parents and her doctor reassure her that everything will be okay. Will Jaimie overcome her fear and still get to enjoy her summer vacation or will her illness get the better of her?

The colorful illustrations help the story progress while keeping a sense of calm throughout Baby Jaimie's ordeal.

Baby Jaimie Goes to the Hospital is well written and helps to encourage children who have medical problems by explaining different procedures nurses and doctors use in order to ease their fears.

I recommend picking up a copy of Baby Jaimie Goes to the Hopsital.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

This book was adorable and dealt with far more than just a trip to the hospital!

Poor Baby Jaimie, to have such exciting plans for summer vacation (a lemonade stand with her sister, Kelly; time with friends; and LOTS of time in the pool!) only to have them derailed by a number of items, including a disagreement with her sister, Kelly, that results in Jaimie feeling that she (Jaimie) has let her down and that Kelly now 'hates' her. Only to run into a major derailment...a necessary tonsillectomy!

Not only are the illustrations bright, colorful and very well-done but the book provides comfort for young children facing similar situations.

I am really looking forward to reading some of Jaimie Hope's (what a perfect last name!) other Baby Jaimie books! Wish I would have had Baby Jaimie Loses a Tooth this past weekend when my granddaughter lost her first tooth!

Thank you, Jaimie, for the advance copy, but especially, thanks for writing such a wonderful book!

I was given Baby Jaimie Goes to the Hospital to read and give an honest review. I love Jaimie Hopes books and this one far exceeds any expectations I had of it.This story is how Baby Jaimie deals with the last day of school and summer plans and then having to go to the hospital. Jaimie has done a great job with this story and I recommend it to anyone who has a child that may have to go to the hospital for any reason. The story and illustrations draw you in from the beginning. Thank you Jaimie for an awesome story.

I loved this book! Jaimie Hope brings her own personal charm into every story she tells. Though the situation is serious, Jaimie has a playful voice that makes us fall in love with Baby Jaimie, and we find ourself full of "hope" that the outcome in the stories will be happy ones! I loved the illustrations too...they went so well with the story! Although this is the first in the series, it is the first I read, and now I can't wait to read the other two, as well as many more adventures for Baby Jaimie!

Baby Jaime goes to the Hospital by Jaimie Hope
The illustrations and the story are cute. The author did a wonderful job in portraying the child's point of view and the dialog that the child said.
This is a cute story about the anxieties and fears about going to the hospital for any type of procedure for a child. I understood the child's perspective especially since I was in a similar position when I was 5. I give this book a 5 star review.

Baby Jaimie Removes the Tonsil Removal Fears
What a great book for easing the minds of children about hospital and doctor visits.
This is very well written and perfectly illustrated for a wonderfully comforting trip to the hospital for Baby Jamie.
All kids who are going in for a tonsillectomy or any kind of surgery should read this book. It is wonderfully uplifting, comforting and positive.
I strongly encourage teachers, parents, and administrators to have this book readily available for kids in their homes and classrooms.
Two thumbs up and two tonsils out!
