The Chinese version was published in 2010 by 尚禾, it closed down already and I read the scanned version online. Probably one of the more likable/easier to digest BL works from Kusama Sakae sensei, I’m surprised it has so few ratings.
A tender and cute story about the younger seme 岡崎一 meeting the older uke 中川正午 again after 6 years. This is the man who made the seme realize they are both gay, he’s in love (with the uke), and he’s heartbroken (after seeing uke’s boss) all in one day back when seme was in high school.
The uke (late 20s) has known about his sexuality since high school then came out to his parents in university and got disowned by his dad. He’s had a father complex and always liked older man, especially a crush (admiration?) towards his manager 五十嵐 section head at 三工, however he’s just been having casual physical relationship with guys at gay bar.
The seme (early 20s) has recently taken over a small run down factory 岡崎工業 from his dad, it was shut down for a few years after his dad attempted suicide by hanging himself, luckily the seme noticed it in time and his dad’s half paralyzed and resting back home. The uke’s boss asked uke to be solely responsible for this one supplier, took him off two other accounts, and deal with the seme closely.
The uke constantly worried about his own job, whether he will soon be made redundant, if his manager is starting to push him away… The seme’s young and green but full of positive energy, trying his best to keep the small factory afloat with outdated machinery. They slowly build a bond of trust, professional working relationship as well as partnership.
The seme’s always been jealous of the uke’s manager and would try to act mature and responsible in front of the uke, such as repeatedly visiting the uke’s dad despite being turned down and poured water all over.
Nakagawa Mahiru (who mostly goes by Shougo, the more masculine reading of 正午) works for an auto parts distributor (or something similar? they're kind of vague about it), who thinks he's about to be fired because his boss (who he loves respects very much) removes him from his current client to assign him to a rinky-dink little parts-making shop (machine shop? [I don't know how to talk about this stuff]), owned by Okazaki Hajime, a young guy barely out of school. It turns out that not only is Hajime designing machines for Mahiru's company, but Mahiru was assigned to Hajime's shop because that was the condition Hajime gave for working for them (Hajime having fallen in love with Mahiru before Mahiru even knew he existed). So, the characters get together in the first chapter, and the rest of the book is about how their relationship grows and changes and they overcome problems (which are mostly made up by Hajime's extremely vivid imagination) and just go about their daily lives. In other words: totally my favorite kind of BL.
Compared to puppy-in-love-Hajime, Mahiru is a total tsundere, but they still manage to be sappy and adorable:
(Mahiru is thinking that he hates younger guys because they use their cuteness as a weapon.)
