The Things I Now Know About The End Times ...
I am so glad I Found Dr. Jack.

That God isn’t an abortionist. Really! It’s true.

That those who Rapture will be lucky enough to whiz past any astronauts who are in space on their way to meet Jesus on his great white cosmic* horse in the sky.

That “the twinkling of an eye” has been measured, and it is eleven one hundredths of a second –- just ask General Electric. (And that’s the speed with which we’ll zoom past the Astronauts.)

That Satan and his legions are actually UFOs!

That our pets will be waiting for us if we’re part of Jesus’ Manbeast* Bride. All we need to do is ask.

That the Earth really is around 12,000 or 13,000 years old because bible days equal millennia.

That there are two teams -– the sheep and the goats -– and no one wants to be a goat.

That the “effeminate” are merely on their way to becoming “hardened homosexuals and sodomites.”

That God keeps “good books” on our thoughts and motives, like an omniscient accountant, because he is serious know-it-all.

That the words “whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die” in Titus 1:2 really mean that a believer will “never die!” Mindblowing!

That I am definitely going to suffer in a "lake of fire" after I’m "resurrected into damnation" because I have committed thirty-something of the sins on Dr. Jack’s Thirty-Nine Sin Hit Parade*.

*These names are mine. The ideas are Dr. Jack’s. Gotta give credit where it is due.

THE FAMOUS TELEVISION EVANGELIST ANSWERS "EVERY" QUESTION ABOUT PROPHECY

Jack Leo Van Impe (1931-2020) was a televangelist who was known for his half-hour weekly television series, "Jack Van Impe Presents," an eschatological commentary on the news of the week through his interpretation of the Bible. He has written other books such as 'Revelation Revealed,' 'Final Mysteries Unsealed,' 'God's Promises of Prophecy,' 'The Great Escape,' etc. He has also produced films such as 'The Apocalypse Unraveled Trilogy.'

This 1980 book is written in a question-and-answer format. In answer to the question, "What is the difference between the 'Rapture' and the 'Revelation'?" he replies, "This question can best be answered by presenting the chronological outline of the book of Revelation. Chapter one, verse 19 states: 'Write the things which thou has seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter.' One immediately notes three tenses---past (Chapter one), present (Chapters two and three) and future (Chapters four to twenty-two). Chapter 4, verse 1: '... come up hither...' is the Rapture: Chapter 19, verse 11: 'And I saw heaven opened...' is the Revelation." (Pg. 8)

In answer to the question, "Does the Bible predict a nuclear war during the Tribulation?" he replies, " Definitely! Revelation 8:7 and 9:18 clearly reveal a judgment taking place on earth during the Tribulation... both the Old and New Testaments are in agreement concerning a nuclear holocaust." (Pg. 26)

He explains his reasons why he doesn't think the Church will go through the Tribulation: "The promise to the Church in Philadelphia (Revelation 3:10)... Another important point ... is the fact that the Church cannot be found in the book of Revelation after the Rapture call of Chapter 4, verse 1, until she returns with Christ following the Tribulation (Revelation 19:14)... [In 2 Thess 2:1-5] Paul wrote to assure them that their fear was unjustified and that, in fact, the 'Day of the Lord' COULD NOT HAVE YET COME because... the lawless one... had to be revealed. Paul further stated that the Antichrist could not be made manifest until the One Who restrains Antichrist's appearing was removed, namely the Holy Spirit... The Holy Spirit lives in the hearts of believers..." (Pg. 29-30)

He acknowledges that "I also believe in a literal, dispensational interpretation of God's Word." (Pg. 31) He rejects Post-tribulationalism because "This theory destroys both the doctrine of imminence and teaching of dispensationalism... the Rapture is connected with imminency while the Revelation is not." (Pg. 34) He states that he believes the Antichrist is alive at this moment (Pg. 38). He states that he believes that Israel's existence is the "fig tree' of Matthew 24:32 (Pg. 39), and that "the GENERATION which lives to see all these things shall not pass until all the signs are completed" (Pg. 39). He adds that "a generation is anywhere from 35 to 40 years." (Pg. 40) Furthermore, "the Day of the Lord must begin immediately after the Rapture." (Pg. 47)

But significantly, he says that the Antichrist could make his appearance in the "near future" because "this leader of the ten western nations sits down with Israel at a peace table when Israel signs contracts with many nations (Dan 9:27)... From 1948 to 1979, Israel was in a constant state of military preparedness for war. Not until 1979 was she willing to make her first concession and actually sign a peace treaty with another nation. Then, on Monday, March 26, 1979, Israel and Egypt signed their historic pact. This contract, however, was neither the sign nor its fulfillment because it lacked basic ingredients. The contract spoken of in Daniel 9:27 must be signed in the presence of the western leader (the Antichrist) and with many nations. However, the 1979 contract with Egypt was a beginning." (Pg. 38-39)

This book will be of interest to van Impe's fans, or to other students of biblical prophecy.

Interesting read, but at times I felt as if the author was really pushing his personal opinions and interpretations of The Word.
